| Articles - Identifying Barbie |
I am so very happy to announce, on behalf of all theBdoll-people, that we have finally managed to put together a working (with some glitches) database of Barbie dolls. Naturally it isn't even near complete at this stage, but we do have an entry for nearly 300 Barbie dolls at the time of writing this article, which is only a few short weeks from the launch of the project.
We have currently 4 members actively adding dolls into the database, which is searchable by the dolls hair colour, body parts, era (approximate age), and other features that help you to identify your doll. As time goes by, we will hopefully see a great increase in the number of dolls as well as the quality of the pictures - we invite you to include what ever dolls you have in your collection that you know their original names of. The dolls don't need to be in their original boxes, nor in their original clothes (even though they are preferred) a nude doll is also welcomed to the database. In time we will combine any duplicates and gradually increase the quality of photos added.
This project has been a dream for me, the site owner, since I started this site in 2004. Up until now, I haven't been able to pull it off for two reasons: I didn't have the tools to do it and secondly, I didn't have helping hands to enter data into the database. Now I have both, the stars have aligned!
