theBdoll Barbie club is a privately owned online community for Barbie hobbyists and collectors. We are a creative bunch of people with a variety of interests including Barbie customising, kitbashing, photographing and photo stories, fashion design and a tons of other things.

To put it simply; There are tons of Barbie sites out there, but there's not one that compares to theBdoll - if there is, show me! I love two things equally: the web and Barbie doll. This website combines both of my great loves, and as a result, you will always be offered the best I can get the web to do in the specific context of Barbie collecting! I am serious about making things fun for you, and I want to make theBdoll a treasure chest for you - kind of like the virtual version of that reoccuring dream that all collectors have; You find a shop that sells a load of just the kind of Barbie stuff you're looking for... (And just as you're going to the cashier you wake up!!)

Our regularly published Barbie magazine theBzine is targeted for the fun loving Barbie hobbyist. It is NOT filled to the rim with advertising, but is filled to the rim with useful, funny and down right silly articles handling everything from the latest Barbie-news to the broken (plastic) hearts.

theBdoll is the home of the most ambitious project in Barbie collecting. We are putting together an identification database for you to search your dolls based on the features of your doll. You could always store tons of Barbie identification books in your shelves, each costing you 30-40 dollars, or you could see if the dolls you are looking for are already in our database for the same price you get everything else - and if they're not, you can add them to ask our knowledgeable community which doll you've got.

theBdoll is NOT about reposting (or rewriting) Mattel's news releases and Barbie promo-photos. (You may get an occasional one if it's really interesting.) The stuff theBdoll publishes is fresh and original, created solely for this site and focussing on Barbie hobbyists.

Barbie collecting can be about adding to the numbers, collecting by the designer and boasting bigger, better and most expensive Barbie collection, but it can also be about creativity, having fun, telling stories, sharing ideas and learning. These are the things that theBdoll values and celebrates - without taking anything out of the fun of receiving a new Barbie doll, of course! We welcome you even if you have just one doll that you love, maybe creating fashions for or building a world around that one doll - we'd love to hear about your beloved doll! Numbers are not important to us, the story, imagination, the magic is! :)

There are some massive membership Barbie club sites out there. I don't know about you, but I kind of prefer having a smaller group of people around me, those who I can really get to know and who actually notice I exist!

On another note, as the site admin I take pride in not allowing flame wars, cyber bullying or any sort of bad behaviour take place on my forums. I have zero tolerance to rude comments and nastiness, and such behaviour WILL result into strong action.

theBdoll is constantly evolving and aiming to do even better. New things, new challenges, new ways to play Barbie, contribute, compete, share and learn!

theBzine Barbie collectors magazine: Get the latest of theBzine, our Barbie magazine, delivered to your email address (download link so your box won't be jammed).

Create a member profile with all the relevant information about your hobby and Barbie collection.

Gallery: Upload unlimited amount of Barbie related photos and albums into your own gallery.

Advertise your Barbie site: All members are entitled to a graphic link to their website or blog, provided that the website is at least partly about Barbie doll. The advertisement is run in the banner area of the website, and the space is given out randomly to each member, each being entitled UNLIMITED displays. The member is required to contact Sebastyne to claim this benefit, because not all members have a Barbie site to promote. More instructions here. Unlike on many other membership sites, you are also permitted to freely market your Barbie doll related products or services on theBdoll forums, as long as they are not in direct competition with theBdoll. (=A community site or a forum.) The way we see this, it is added benefits for other members as well to be informed of interesting Barbie products and who's better at informing them than the people who make/sell/offer them? However, your promotional efforts may not appear spammy or pushy, so that it will interfere with normal conversation on the forums.
